Can stomach cancer patients drink mash?



Generally, it is not recommended for stomach cancer patients to drink mash.

Mash belongs to brewed food, alcohol has the ability to dilate blood vessels, which will increase blood supply to lesions of stomach cancer patients, and will also stimulate stomach lining to cause gastric discomfort and aggravate symptoms of stomach cancer, therefore, it is not recommended for stomach cancer patients to drink mash.

Therefore, stomach cancer patients are not recommended to drink mash. Stomach cancer patients generally have reduced digestion and absorption function and poor nutritional status, so it is recommended to eat soft, easy to digest and nutritious food, such as eggs, milk, fish and other food with high protein content, as well as fresh vegetables and fruits rich in vitamins and minerals, etc. For patients with poor status, try to eat congee and porridge. For patients with poor condition, they should try to consume congee or soup in order to facilitate nutrient absorption and reduce the burden of stomach and intestines.

Gastric cancer patients try to eat less and more meals, pay attention to dietary regularity and hygiene. Avoid drinking and smoking, and avoid eating cold, salty, smoky, greasy, spicy and stimulating food.
