The average life expectancy for people with Down syndrome is around 16 years, and if there are no other serious complications combined or early therapeutic interventions, they can survive until around 50 years of age, but some die prematurely before the age of 5. Trisomy 21, also known as Down syndrome, is an autosomal aberrant variant of chromosome 21 with three chromosomes, also known as congenital stupidity, and is one of the most common pediatric chromosomal pathologies, and one of the key screenings in our Early Down’s Screening. The length of life expectancy for people with Down syndrome needs to be combined with the presence or absence of comorbidities, such as concurrent congenital heart disease, pulmonary hypertension, etc., or other serious gastrointestinal complications, which predispose them to an early death before the age of 5. If there are no other serious complications, they can survive until about 50 years of age.
