Boils are caused by purulent infections of hair follicles and surrounding soft tissues. Children’s upper lip boils can be treated with general treatment, medication, surgery and other measures.
1. General treatment: keep the affected skin clean and hygienic, eat a light diet, avoid squeezing and scratching, and most of the boils will recover by themselves after the pus plugs are discharged.
2. Medication: local disinfection with povidone-iodine wipe, and then topical antibiotic ointment, such as mupirocin ointment, erythromycin ointment and so on for anti-infection treatment.
3. Surgical treatment: If the symptoms cannot be relieved by the above measures or the disease recurs, it can be drained by surgical incision.
Children with boils on the upper lip should go to the hospital in time for targeted treatment by specialists, and should not be treated without authorization so as not to aggravate the condition. All of the above drugs should be used under the guidance of a specialized doctor.
