Leukocytes 2.8 x 10^9/L is considered mild to moderate low, whether it is severe or not should be combined with other manifestations.
The main causes of leukocyte decline are:
1. physiological fluctuation of white blood cells, such as time, hormone level, etc.. This condition needs no special treatment and is not serious.
2. secondary to infections, drugs or other underlying diseases, such as influenza virus, measles virus, coronavirus, Mycobacterium tuberculosis and other infections. In addition, hypothyroidism, autoimmune diseases, and medications can cause low white blood cells. Usually, when the secondary factors are removed, the white blood cells can be restored and it is not serious.
3. Hematopoietic diseases, such as aplastic anemia, leukemia, etc., usually accompanied by fever, fatigue, pallor, ecchymosis, bleeding and other symptoms. Active treatment of the original disease is needed to restore normal hematopoietic function, and the condition is serious. For example, acute myeloid leukemia needs to be treated with chemotherapy such as cytarabine.
It is recommended to have regular work and rest, avoid staying up late and exertion, and have regular checkups. If there is a progressive decline, consult a regular hospital in time to receive standardized treatment after a clear diagnosis is made.
