Dahara Drink is not currently available as a proprietary Chinese medicine. It is recommended to decoct the soup under doctor’s supervision. Dar Yuan Drink has the efficacy of opening up the membrane, eliminating filth and removing turbidity, and is mainly used in the treatment of plague or malaria, with the evil lying in the membrane, abhorrence of cold and strong heat, indefinite hair growth, stuffy chest, vomiting, headache and so on. This formula uses betel nut to disperse dampness, dissolve phlegm and break the knot, and relieve the evils. Hau Pao bitterly reduces and moves Qi, dries dampness and resolves turbidity (using warm and dry drugs to dispel dampness and turbidity in the body), and breaks the knot of evil Qi. Cao Guo is pungent and fragrant to eliminate turbidity, dispel obscenity and stop vomiting to remove turbid dampness. Zhi Mu nourishes Yin fluid, Bai Shao nourishes Ying and Blood, Scutellaria baicalensis clears dryness and heat, and Glycyrrhiza glabra harmonizes the middle. At present, Da Yuan Drink has not been made into a proprietary Chinese medicine. When discomfort occurs, one should consult a doctor and choose the medication under the doctor’s guidance, and should not use the medication on one’s own.
