How long does it take for the skull to heal after a craniotomy?

The skull is usually able to have the most basic healing after craniotomy for about three months, but during the process of opening and closing the skull, certain measures can be taken to increase the probability of healing between the bones of the skull and to increase stability. The most commonly used is the cranial joint titanium plate, which is a very small titanium plate, mainly to fix both sides of the skull properly and keep the proper force, which will stay directly on top of the skull, and because of the fixation, the skull bone appears relatively hard on the outside. At a later stage, the skull bones will gradually proliferate and differentiate, and both sides will gradually heal together like a bridge between them, which is not a process that requires special intervention. As long as the skull joint piece does not fall off, there is basically no poor healing, and the skull healing is not a problem as long as it is kept injury-free in the future.
