What to do if your rhinitis gets worse with desensitization

More severe desensitization for rhinitis refers to increased severity and frequency of allergic symptom attacks, as well as systemic or localized side effects, after the choice of desensitization treatment for allergic rhinitis. The use of injectable extracts and injectable standardized vaccines may be selected and adjusted in due course.
1. such as injection extracts:
(1) Suspend injections for 2 weeks while using anti-allergy medication to control symptoms, and then continue desensitization therapy;
(2) Continue injections (without increments) under control of antiallergic drugs using a fixed dose (usually one dose before the onset of side effects) until the side effects disappear, then withdraw the antiallergic drugs and resume incremental injections;
(3) Increasing to which dose a side reaction occurs, then backward one dose, under the control of anti-allergic drugs, stabilized at the dose and continue to inject until the side reaction disappears, and then forward incremental injection.
2. If standardized vaccine is injected: then go back to half of the previous dose until the side reaction disappears, then use the full amount of the previous dose, and if there is still no side reaction, then resume the incremental injection after a regular interval. Antiallergic drugs should be added during the dose adjustment period. The presence or absence of such side effects and their disappearance must be judged under the supervision and observation (at least 30 minutes) of an experienced physician.
When rhinitis desensitization treatment becomes more serious, it is necessary to actively seek medical treatment, systematic examination to clarify the diagnosis and cause of the disease, and then follow the doctor’s instructions to standardize the treatment.
