Oseltamivir is not recommended to be taken at 4-hour intervals and should be administered as prescribed by a physician. Oseltamivir is commonly available in granules and capsules. The drug insert states that the product should be used twice daily, and pharmacokinetic studies indicate that the half-life of plasma concentrations of the drug is 6-10 hours. Therefore, it is not recommended to take it at intervals of 4 hours. It is recommended to take it at least 6 to 10 hours apart. Oseltamivir can be used for the treatment of influenza A, or influenza B in adults and children. Adverse reactions to this product can be seen as nausea, vomiting, headache, rash, hives, and cardiac arrhythmia. The drug is contraindicated in people with a known allergy to the product. Oseltamivir should be regulated under medical supervision.
