What to do about edema caused by duodenal ulcers

Edema caused by duodenal ulcer requires eradication of H. pylori, acid suppression therapy, mucosal protection therapy, and other general measures. 1. Eradication of Helicobacter pylori: duodenal ulcer also needs to exclude Helicobacter pylori infection, if there is Helicobacter pylori infection, it should be eradicated by using the quadruple method, i.e., one kind of proton pump inhibitor such as omeprazole + one kind of bismuth such as colloidal bismuth + two kinds of antibiotics such as amoxicillin and clarithromycin. 2. Acid suppression therapy: after the mucous membrane is broken, the action of gastric acid makes its damage worse, so it also needs acid suppression therapy, which can take omeprazole, rabeprazole and so on. 3. Mucosal protection therapy: in order to prevent the damage of gastric acid to the ulcer site, mucosal protection therapy can be used, such as aluminum thioglycollate, bismuth potassium citrate and so on. 4. Other general measures: patients should quit drinking and smoking, and stop using aspirin and other drugs. If the symptoms are not relieved, it is recommended to consult a doctor as early as possible, under the guidance of the doctor for standardized treatment, to avoid delaying the condition by self-medication.
