One of the twelve meridians in the human body is the Foot and Sun Bladder meridian, which includes 67 acupuncture points and is the longest meridian in the body. Its direction of circulation is from the head to the feet, starting from the eye point at the inner corner of the eye, going up through the top of the head and then down to the sides of the spine on the back, then down the back side of the lower extremities to the heel of the foot, and then along the outside of the foot to the outer side of the fifth toe to the yin point. Acupuncture or massage on the bladder meridian can be used to treat head and facial disorders, internal diseases and pain and numbness in the lower extremities of the back.
