The difference between yang huang and yin huang lies in the differences in etiology, course of disease, symptoms, prognosis and regression.
1. Different etiology. The cause of yang huang is mostly dampness and heat, and the cause of yin huang is mostly cold and dampness.
2. Differences in the course of disease. Yang Huang usually starts quickly and has a short course; Yin Huang has a slow onset and a long course.
3. Symptoms are different. Yang yellow manifests as a sharp yellow color like orange, often accompanied by dry mouth, fever, urination short red (small amount of urine, dark yellow), constipation and other heat, solid; Yin yellow manifests as a dark yellow or dark, often accompanied by a small amount of food, epigastric (abdominal) distension and fullness, stools are not solid, fatigue (lack of mental energy), cold (cold body), thirst and other deficiency and cold and blood stasis manifestations.
4. Different prognoses. The prognosis of yang yellows is generally good if treated in time; yin yellows are usually lingering and not easy to be cured quickly.
