Optical colposcopes consist of four parts: lens body, holder, light source and accessories. Electronic colposcopes consist of an electronic colposcopic lens body, a stand and accessories. 1. Lens body: It is on the top of the frame, and there are also tilt adjustment and left/right adjustment handles, which can help the lens body to rotate freely. 2. Holder: There are two main types, land type and hanging type, the specific choice depends on the conditions of the colposcopy clinic. 3. Light source: there are two kinds of light source inside the mirror and cold light source outside the mirror. 4. Accessories: including photographic system, video recording system, printing system and computerized graphic information management system. Acute and subacute genital inflammation or pelvic inflammatory diseases should be excluded before colposcopy; if the above conditions exist, the examination should not be carried out and should be treated first. Sexual intercourse, vaginal douching or medication, cervical brushing and gynecological double examination should be avoided within 24 hours before the examination.
