It is suitable for summer-dampness colds, edema, and dysuria (unsmooth urination). Elshotria is pungent in flavor, slightly warm in nature, and belongs to the lung and stomach meridians. This product can not only promote the lung qi, dispel cold and relieve symptoms, but also can dissolve dampness and turbidity, strengthen the spleen and harmonize the middle. It is suitable for summer coolness, drinking cold, external cold and internal dampness, such as cold fever, chest and epigastric congestion (chest and abdomen feeling fullness and stuffiness), headache without sweating, abdominal pain, vomiting and diarrhea, and other summer heat symptoms. This product can also promote water retention and reduce swelling. Elsholtzia is strong in pungency, warmth and sweating, and should not be used when there is sweating in surface deficiency.
