Solid intrahepatic nodules are pathologic changes that occur within the liver. A swelling within the liver that is solid in texture indicates that there is a space-occupying lesion within the liver, which may be due to a liver tumor, for example. Solid space-occupying lesions may be inflammatory nodules, neoplastic nodules, cirrhotic nodules, etc., and the possibility of primary and secondary hepatic malignancies should also be ruled out. In addition, solid intrahepatic nodules need to be considered for other benign lesions, including intrahepatic bile duct stones, hepatic hemangiomas, and hepatic cysts, but intrahepatic bile duct stones, hepatic hemangiomas, and hepatic cysts seldom present with a nodular pattern. It is recommended to combine clinical manifestations, past medical history, oncologic indicators, and imaging tests to make a comprehensive judgment, and the doctor will diagnose and treat the disease based on the history and test results.
