Round low density shadow in left kidney may be left renal cyst, renal vascular smooth muscle tumor, renal cell carcinoma and other diseases.
1. Left renal cyst: renal cyst is composed of dilated tubular diverticulum, usually without obvious clinical symptoms, round low density shadow can be seen in the left kidney during CT examination.
2. Renal angiomyolipoma: it is a kind of benign tumor of kidney, unilateral or bilateral enlargement or local protrusion of kidney can be seen on CT scan, rounded multifocal low-density fat shadow can be seen in the kidney, the boundary is generally clearer, and there is no obvious enhancement on enhanced scan.
3. Renal cell carcinoma: some renal cell carcinomas also present round low-density mass shadow in plain CT scan, and the mass can be obviously strengthened in enhanced CT scan.
Round low-density shadow in the left kidney may also be seen in other diseases, and it is recommended that the patient should further improve the examination and give targeted treatment in time after the cause of the disease is clarified.
