Functions and Uses of Coral

Coral has the effect of tranquilizing the mind and calming fright, removing cataracts and brightening the eyes. Coral can be used for treating convulsions (a pediatric disease mainly manifested by dizziness, convulsions and seizures), epilepsy and so on.
Coral is sweet in flavor and flat in nature; it enters the heart and liver meridians. It is mainly used in the treatment of convulsions, epilepsy, hematemesis, epistaxis, and cataracts of the eyes.
Coral is usually used internally: powdered; or externally: appropriate amount, finely powdered eyes; or adjusted compresses.
