The thickness of the endometrium on the sixth day of menstruation is 1~2mm, which is different from the thickness of 3~5mm on the tenth day or so. The thickness of the endometrium changes with the menstrual cycle.
Under the action of estrogen, the endometrium will continue to thicken in the proliferative period, from 0.5mm to 3~5mm. the proliferative period can be divided into three phases: early, middle and late.
1. Early proliferative stage: on the 5th to 7th day of the menstrual cycle, the endometrium is thin, nearly 1~2mm.
2. Middle proliferative stage: on the 8th to 10th day of the menstrual cycle, the endothelium gradually thickens and the glands gradually increase.
3. Late proliferative stage: on the 11th to 14th day of the menstrual cycle, the endometrium is further thickened in this stage, up to 3~5mm, with an uneven and slightly wavy surface.
If the thickness of the endometrium is abnormal, it is recommended to go to the hospital in time for examination to clarify the cause of the disease and standardize the treatment under the guidance of the doctor.
