After menopause, ovarian function declines, ovulation stops, estrogen level decreases, menstrual disorders, gradually entering menopause, the uterus is not supported by sex hormones, and atrophy gradually occurs, this situation is called physiological atrophy, which is a normal physiological phenomenon, belonging to the development of the body to a certain stage, the organs of the aging degeneration of the manifestations of the need to deal with. However, if the ovarian function declines before the age of 40, follicle depletion or atresia, female menstruation is scanty or even amenorrhea, and uterine atrophy caused by reduced secretion of sex hormones is pathologic, which will have an important impact on the patient’s physical and mental health, and requires early diagnosis and treatment. Currently, the main treatments are hormone replacement therapy and assisted reproductive technology (ART) to solve fertility problems. The role of the uterus is to be affected by sex hormones and undergo cyclic changes to produce menstruation and to be the site of fetal development and growth.
