The cause of edema in advanced stage of cancer is usually double lower limbs edema caused by hypoproteinemia, the symptoms can be improved by supplementing human blood albumin, as well as by dietary supplementation of high protein food, and diuretic drugs can be applied at the same time, such as furosemide, spironolactone and other combined treatment. During the treatment, attention should be paid to the regular review of electrolytes to avoid electrolyte disorders. Tumor patients with cardiac and renal insufficiency may also cause edema, which needs to be treated with symptomatic drugs. For asymmetric edema with pain on both sides, it is recommended to check the vascular ultrasound to exclude edema caused by deep vein thrombosis, and edema in late stage of cancer indicates that the condition is aggravated and the disease has progressed.
