What is a mild varicocele with no reflux and low sperm density?

Mild varicocele of the spermatic vein is mainly caused by poor reflux of the spermatic vessels due to various reasons, and the absence of reflux is a normal phenomenon; while low sperm density may be due to varicocele of the spermatic vein.

1. Mild varicocele of the spermatic vein without reflux is usually described by ultrasonography, and its etiology is divided into congenital and secondary.

(1) Congenital causes: mainly due to insufficient development of venous valves, venous plexus wall smooth muscle weakness and other causes of venous reflux, the incidence of the left side is higher than the right side.

(2) Secondary causes: mostly due to retroperitoneal tumors, renal tumors compressing the internal spermatic vein, inferior vena cava, or obstruction of venous return by cancerous thrombus.

2. Low sperm density: varicocele is one of the causes of male infertility, and its main mechanisms include venous dilatation and stasis, local temperature elevation and other factors. It should also be considered whether it is caused by other diseases, such as epididymitis, prostatitis, thyroid dysfunction, pituitary insufficiency and so on.

To summarize, if any of the above diseases are present, timely medical consultation should be conducted.
