For a one-centimeter polyp in the uterine cavity, if it is a single polyp and is in a good position to be exposed, the procedure can usually be completed in less than half an hour. If there are multiple polyps or the polyps are not well exposed, the operation will take one hour or more.
1. Single uterine polyp: If a woman in her childbearing years is diagnosed with a polyp in the uterine cavity that is 1 cm in size, and if it causes excessive or prolonged menstruation and menstrual disorders, she will need to undergo hysteroscopic surgery to remove the polyp. The polyp is well exposed and the procedure can be completed in less than 30 minutes.
2. Multiple polyps or cancerous polyps: If there are polyps in the uterine cavity, and they are multiple polyps, or the polyps are not easy to expose, the surgical treatment will take longer, and it may take one hour or more.
Polyps of up to one centimeter in the uterine cavity are recommended to be seen in a regular hospital for standardized treatment.
