The left basal ganglia is a common clinical site for hypertensive brain hemorrhage, and recovery depends on the amount of bleeding and the patient’s physical condition.
If the amount of bleeding in the left basal ganglia is small and the hematoma is relatively small, the patient can recover very quickly after active treatment. Generally speaking, hospitalization in the acute stage can achieve significant results within four weeks, but be alert to the high recurrence rate of cerebral hemorrhage.
If the amount of bleeding is large, resulting in hemianopsia, hemiparesis, or even mental disorders and brain herniation, the rate of death and disability is very high.
After the hemorrhage occurs, patients often have weakness, inflexibility or even hemiparesis of the right side of the limbs, as well as unfavorable speech, hemiplegia of the right side of the limbs, and so on. Generally, it takes 1~3 months of rehabilitation to recover the function after the hemorrhage is absorbed.
If the amount of bleeding is relatively large, the patient needs to control the condition through surgery, and the patient’s recovery will take longer, usually 3~6 months, and even some patients need a longer period of time still difficult to recover effectively, or even lifelong can not be fully recovered.
It is recommended that patients seek timely medical treatment, active treatment, treatment and rehabilitation under the guidance of the doctor, and try to avoid the sequelae.
