Invisalign braces are generally worn for 3 months before treatment results are seen. However, specific treatment results vary from patient to patient, depending on the degree of malocclusion, care practices and many other factors. Invisible braces are orthodontic retainers made of composite materials that are more expensive than traditional metal braces, but they are highly concealable, easy to maintain, and quick to wear. Because braces create a constant pressure during wear, the additional pressure over time moves the teeth to the desired position and supports them in their new position, resulting in a skeletal remodeling treatment. Under normal circumstances, some results are usually seen within about 3 months of wear, but care needs to be taken not to remove them even when they are seen, in order to prevent the final outcome. For pediatric patients, the wear period is usually 9-12 months, while for adult patients the treatment period is 1.5-2 years. For patients with other periodontal diseases or more severe malformations, the length of orthodontic treatment needs to be extended. Although invisible braces have many advantages, they are not suitable for all patients, but mainly for those with mild to moderate malocclusion. Before choosing to wear them, it is advisable to go to the dentistry department of a regular hospital and be interviewed by a doctor before making your choice.
