Clindamycin Injection is mainly indicated for moderate and severe infections caused by Streptococcus spp., Staphylococcus spp. and anaerobic bacteria. Examples include cases of aspiration pneumonia, abscess chest, lung abscess, osteomyelitis, abdominal infections, pelvic infections and sepsis. It is usually treated by intravenous infusion, 0.6-1.2g/day in 2-4 applications for adults; 1.2-2.4g/day in 2-4 intravenous doses for severe infections. 15-25mg/kg/day in 3-4 applications for children 4 weeks and older; 25-40mg/kg/day in 3-4 applications for severe infections. For severe infections, 25-40mg/kg/day in 3-4 applications. The speed of intravenous administration should not be too fast, 600mg of the drug should be added to not less than 100ml of liquid and dripped for at least 20 minutes, and the amount of drug input should not exceed 1200mg in 1 hour.
