Can low-grade follicular lymphoma be cured?

Low-grade follicular lymphoma progresses slowly but is prone to recurrence, and some patients can achieve a cure with aggressive radiation and chemotherapy.
Follicular lymphoma (FL) belongs to non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, which is a group of low-grade malignant tumors with chronic progression and recurrent episodes. According to the range of lymph node lesions, it can be divided into stages I-IV, while it is mostly curable in stages I-II.
FL is highly sensitive to radiotherapy and has a long duration of response, so radiotherapy is generally used as the treatment of choice for FL. Stage I-II FL can be treated with radiotherapy alone or combined with chemotherapy to achieve better results, and even achieve complete clinical cure without recurrence. Adjuvant treatment can also be provided through surgery and targeted therapy to achieve better therapeutic effects. The drugs include rituximab, vincristine, cyclophosphamide and so on.
Low-grade follicular lymphoma progresses slowly, and can be cured with active treatment, scientific diet and a positive attitude in daily life. Specific drugs should be used under the guidance of physicians.
