Gastric cancer chemotherapy is divided into neoadjuvant chemotherapy, postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy, palliative chemotherapy, and translational chemotherapy. Currently, it is stipulated that regardless of any chemotherapy regimen, it should be administered once every 2-3 weeks. Neoadjuvant chemotherapy, in general, takes 3-4 courses; postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy, which takes six months; palliative chemotherapy, which is indefinite, is administered to suggest that the patient will live with the tumor and control the progression of the disease through chemotherapeutic drugs; and translational chemotherapy, which takes 4-6 courses. The duration of chemotherapy must be formulated in relation to the patient’s physical strength, tolerance and tolerance to the drug.
