Can frozen shoulder cause back pain?

Frozen shoulder can cause back pain, and the back generally refers to the back of the shoulder blade area, not the cervical or thoracic spine. Frozen shoulder causes back pain, mainly because the lesion will cause muscle tension and spasm in the scapular region of the back, and aseptic inflammatory reaction causes pain. In addition, the adhesion of shoulder muscles and tendons caused by the lesion of frozen shoulder will cause pain in the back of scapular area; and the lesion of frozen shoulder itself will cause inflammatory reaction at the lesion of scapulothoracic wall, which will cause pain. Back pain caused by frozen shoulder needs to be differentiated from pain caused by fasciitis, lesions of the spine itself, and visceral diseases, and requires medical attention. Frozen shoulder pain is usually accompanied by limited shoulder joint movement, and the pain is obvious at night, and most often occurs in the fifties, and needs to be identified by X-rays and other auxiliary examinations.
