Risk factors associated with ischemic stroke include: I. Major risk factors: 1. Hypertension or taking antihypertensive medication. 2. 2. Hyperlipidemia or taking lipid-lowering medication. 3. Diabetes mellitus. 4. Age over 50 years. General risk factors: 1. Atrial fibrillation or valvular heart disease. 2. History of stroke or heart disease in the immediate family (parents, siblings, children). 3. Smoking. 4. Heavy alcohol consumption. 5. Lack of physical activity, unable to do it 3 times a week (at least 20-30 minutes each time). 6, the diet contains too much saturated fatty acids or fats. 7, obesity, body mass index ≥ 24 (weight in kilograms divided by height squared). 8, history of ischemic eye disease. 9, sudden deafness. Screening for stroke is recommended for those with 2 of the above major risk factors, or those with 1 major risk factor and 2 or more (including 2) general risk factors, or a previous history of stroke/transient ischemic attack (TIA).
