Coughs need to be found and treated in order to get better quickly. There is no quickest way to treat a cough, as it varies from cause to cause. There are many causes of cough, such as upper respiratory tract infections, gastroesophageal reflux disease, cough variant asthma and so on. 1. Upper respiratory tract infections: mostly caused by viral infections, mostly self-healing. It can cause cough, nasal congestion, runny nose and other adverse symptoms. When the cough is severe, cough suppressants such as dextromethorphan can be used to treat the symptoms. The drug is contraindicated in women in early pregnancy. 2. Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD): The reflux of gastric acid into the gastric tube can irritate the pharynx and lead to cough. Omeprazole, magnesium aluminum carbonate, domperidone tablets can be used to treat the disease. Omeprazole should be used with caution in pregnant women. 3. Cough variant asthma: it is a special type of asthma, mainly manifested as irritating dry cough. It can be treated with inhaled glucocorticosteroids (e.g. budesonide) combined with bronchodilators (e.g. salbutamol). Cough, need to actively go to the hospital, identify the cause of the disease, follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment, the above drugs need to be rationally applied under the guidance of a physician.
