Nails to the flesh belong to the symptoms of ingrown nails or nail fungus, the solution needs to cut off the part of the nails to the flesh, and at the same time for different causes of treatment.
1. Nail embedded in the thumb, usually localized by bumping, extrusion and other external forces, or shoes squeeze feet, pruning caused by excessive. The external force causes the nail to change shape and grow into the flesh on the side of the nail.
Ingrown nails can cause redness, swelling and pain on the skin around the nail, and can be treated with topical creams such as fusidic acid cream and mupirocin ointment to kill bacteria and reduce inflammation. If ingrown nails recur, you can pull out part of the nail or put in a small piece of sterile tube to change the direction of nail growth to make it grow again.
2. Onychomycosis is caused by a fungal infection, in which the fungus invades the nail at the root of the nail, leading to cloudy thickening and distortion of the shape of the newly grown nail. Because of the change in shape the direction of growth is affected, so it will grow into the flesh. Nail fungus can be treated with oral antifungal drugs, such as terbinafine hydrochloride tablets and itraconazole tablets.
It is recommended that the nails grow into the flesh to the hospital, follow the doctor’s prescription medication, do not self-medication, so as not to delay the condition.
