What does the lL-6 test mean?

Il-6 test is a method of determining the health status of the organism by drawing a patient’s fasting venous blood and taking an ELISA test to detect it. The full name of ll-6 is interleukin-6, which belongs to a kind of cytokine (CK), mainly produced by macrophages, T cells, B cells, etc. It plays an important role in maintaining the body’s immune response, bone marrow hematopoiesis, and inflammatory response, so it is regarded as one of the important indexes for judging the body’s immunity. The normal value of II-6 is 0.37~0.46ng/L. Its abnormal expression occurs in certain diseases such as internal and external injuries, surgery, stress reaction, infection, brain death, tumor production and acute inflammation, in which II-6 will be generated more rapidly than the normal value. It is recommended that patients with abnormalities in the examination should go to regular hospitals in time, and use medication under the guidance of specialists to avoid delays in their condition.
