In general, the cause of hand swelling in women may be due to cirrhosis, rheumatoid arthritis, ligament injury and so on. 1. Cirrhosis: due to liver damage that reduces the protein synthesis capacity of the liver, the liver synthesizes less albumin, plasma protein synthesis decreases, and hypoproteinemia occurs. As the plasma colloid osmotic pressure decreases when there is less protein in the blood, the production of intertissue fluid is greater than its recovery, which leads to swelling of the hands. 2. Rheumatoid arthritis: Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune disease secondary to group A streptococcal infection, which causes inflammation of the synovial membrane of the joints, which in turn affects the joints and ultimately results in inflammation, swelling, pain and deformity of the joints. Therefore, when a woman suffers from rheumatoid arthritis, the joints of her hands will be swollen and painful. 3. Ligament injury: If the ligaments of the female hand are damaged, the ligaments at the damaged place will be congested and edematous, which may lead to the obstruction of peripheral venous return, so that the blood circulation in the affected area is not smooth, causing the symptom of swelling of the hand. It is recommended that if the swelling of the hand is not relieved within a short period of time, the woman should go to the hospital as soon as possible, so as to clarify the cause of the disease and then treat the symptoms.
