What should I do if my three-month-old baby has a hernia? Is it possible to have surgery?

Patient: It is usually noisy in the afternoon and evening, and the bag underneath sometimes goes away, but most of the time it doesn’t. It’s been about a month since I found it. Can you give me some treatment suggestions for the current plan? Doctor: Hernia in children under one year old may heal on its own, but in children older than one year old, there is little chance of healing on its own and surgery is needed. Surgery is very safe and does not affect the growth and development of the child in any way. If your child is less than 1 year old, you should try a hernia belt first, wrapping a dollar coin with a cloth outside and tying it around the hernia. If it does not work, laparoscopic surgery can be considered, which is short, less invasive and safer. Children as young as 8 months can be operated on. Homemade hernia belt: coin in the middle, wrap the outside with soft material such as cotton and cloth, wrap the outermost with a strip of cloth and just tie it around the hernia area like a belt. For children who are active, the hernia belt may run out of position and be less effective. If the effect is not good, wait until the age of 1 to do surgery.
