It is orthodontic treatment with the aligners all mounted on the lingual side of the teeth, with no orthodontic treatment devices visible in appearance, avoiding the embarrassing “braces” of adult orthodontics. As a result, this technique has become popular among patients with high aesthetic or professional requirements, such as actors, lawyers and teachers. Due to the high technical difficulty of lingual orthodontics and the high cost of orthodontics, with the rapid development of China’s economy in recent years, lingual orthodontics has also become popular, and famous medical schools or hospitals in China have made it a high-end treatment technology for patients to choose. But the technical difficulty of lingual orthodontics determines that it can only be a few experts’ technical patents. It can also only serve a few special people. The first case of lingual orthodontics in Fujian Province was carried out in 1999 in the Union Hospital, lingual orthodontics through ORMCO lingual orthodontics, German lingual self-locking orthodontics, to today’s CAD/CAM-assisted personalized lingual orthodontics, the treatment technology is becoming more and more mature, and the treatment effect is becoming more and more perfect.
