Mucous gland cysts occur mainly as a result of mucus storage from bites or repeated squeezing, with symptoms of saliva not being able to be expelled. Mucous gland cysts are not scary and are benign. And if this symptom occurs, it is recommended that the patient has to go to the oral surgery to have the cyst removed; if left untreated, this mucous cyst may wax and wane, but it will not go away. If the patient has developed a mucous gland cyst and it is diagnosed as a mucous gland cyst, the patient is advised to have it removed, otherwise it will recur from time to time, large or small. If the cyst is intact, it is much less likely to recur after removal.
