The main symptoms of bone metastasis of thyroid cancer include local pain, pathological fracture and nerve compression. 1. Local pain: local persistent pain is the most common and the first symptom of bone metastasis of thyroid cancer. The pain aggravates progressively and is more obvious at night, accompanied by local pressure. 2. Symptoms of pathological fracture: after bone metastasis of thyroid cancer, tumor cells will continuously destroy the bone, causing the decrease of bone structure strength, and fracture can occur under slight external force, i.e. pathological fracture. Patients mainly show symptoms of fracture such as local pain, swelling, ecchymosis and limb activity disorder without obvious triggers. 3. Symptoms of nerve compression: when thyroid cancer metastasizes to the spine, it may compress the spinal cord or nerve root and cause nerve compression symptoms, for example, compression of cervical nerve root can cause pain, weakness and numbness of upper limbs on the affected side, and incontinence and paralysis can be seen when compression of the spinal cord occurs. The above symptoms of thyroid cancer should be highly suspected of bone metastasis, and it is suggested that patients should go to the hospital as soon as possible to get a clear diagnosis in time and then be treated accordingly.
