Methods of removing tumors

Removal of tumors is usually treated by surgery, and there are radical surgery, palliative surgery, tumor reduction surgery, da Vinci mechanical surgery and other methods. 1. Radical surgery: after identifying the distribution location of the tumor, the tumor will be completely excised to ensure that no residue is left, this method is suitable for early and middle stage tumors. 2. Palliative surgery: the tumor cannot be completely removed, and part of the primary tumor or its metastatic lesions are removed. Palliative surgery can alleviate the complications arising from the tumor, such as perforation, obstruction and hemorrhage. 3. Subtractive surgery: some tumors can not be completely removed by surgery alone, subtractive surgery can remove most of the tumor to reduce the tumor load, and patients can control the residual tumor foci after surgery with other treatments. Tumors suitable for subtractive surgery include ovarian tumor, soft tissue sarcoma and so on. 4. da Vinci Mechanical Surgery: The da Vinci Surgical System is an advanced robotic platform designed with the concept of performing complex surgical procedures through the use of minimally invasive methods. Different patients have different conditions, and patients should select the appropriate way to remove the tumor according to the doctor’s recommendation.
