What types of contraception are available

Commonly used forms of contraception are drug contraception, surgical contraception, instrumental contraception and physical contraception.
1. Pharmaceutical contraception: including short-acting oral contraceptives, long-acting oral contraceptives, oral contraceptives for visiting relatives, etc., which can inhibit the production of eggs to achieve the purpose of contraception.
2. Surgical contraception: common methods include intrauterine device (IUD) and surgical ligation, etc. IUD is a contraceptive device placed in the uterine cavity, and female tubal ligation or male vasectomy refers to cutting off the fallopian tubes of a female patient or the vas deferens of a male patient.
3. Instrumental contraception: mainly divided into penile condom and female contraception, penile condom is worn on the penis before intercourse, male ejaculation sperm will be stored in the penile condom; female condom needs to be placed in the vagina of the female before intercourse, which can prevent the semen to the uterus to flow.
4. Physical contraception: physical methods such as microwaves and lasers are used to prevent sperm from being produced to achieve contraception.
