What artery does the gallbladder artery originate from?

Most of the gallbladder arteries originate from the right hepatic artery, while a few originate from the left hepatic artery, middle hepatic artery or gastroduodenal artery due to variants and other reasons. The origin of the gallbladder artery plays a great role in surgery and clinical dissection because the gallbladder needs to ligate the artery during resection, and misligation of the right hepatic artery can lead to ischemic damage to the liver; therefore, differentiating the anatomical structure can reduce misligation of the right hepatic artery and reduce errors during surgery. The travel zone of the gallbladder artery, which is usually above the neck of the gallbladder, is divided into two branches, deep and superficial. There are many clinical variations of the gallbladder artery, which can be divided into single and double gallbladder artery branches.
