Povidone Iodine is used primarily externally by dipping a cotton swab into a small amount and applying it in a rotating pattern from the center to the perimeter. Iodophor is a disinfectant and antiseptic. It is used for septic dermatitis, fungal skin infections, small mild burns, and also for disinfecting small mucosal skin wounds. The correct method of use is to dip a cotton swab into a small amount of solution, then apply it rotationally from the center of the wound to 4 weeks, after wiping the periphery of the wound, avoiding contact with the middle of the wound, to avoid causing cross-infection. The drug generally has no special adverse reactions, very few patients have a transient irritation of the wound mucosa, usually disappeared in a few moments, do not need special treatment. Pregnant and lactating women are prohibited. It is recommended to use under the guidance of a doctor to avoid abusing the drug by yourself.
