Gallstones 1cm cannot heal themselves. For 1cm gallstones there is basically no possibility of self-healing. For patients with single gallstones with a diameter of less than 2 centimeters and no obvious clinical symptoms, observation treatment can be considered, and abdominal ultrasound should be repeated every 3 to 6 months to see the changes in the size of the gallstones and then formulate a treatment plan. For patients with gallstones larger than 2-3 centimeters in diameter and multiple gallstones, surgery is needed to remove the gallbladder. This is because the combination of obvious symptoms and repeated inflammatory stimulation can lead to cancerous changes in the gallbladder, jeopardizing the patient’s life and health. Patients with gallstones need to go to the hospital in time and actively cooperate with the doctor.
