How cervical cancer is diagnosed

For patients with suspicious symptoms of cervical cancer or abnormal cervical cytology, the following examinations are feasible in order to further clarify the diagnosis: 1. History and physical examination: inquire about the relevant symptoms and personal life and family history to understand whether there are any relevant risk factors for cervical cancer; perform physical examination to assess the health condition; 2. Gynecological examination or colposcopy: the morphology of the cervix can be observed and evaluated, and biopsy of abnormal tissues on the surface of the cervix can be taken to determine the presence or absence of tumor cells or malignant tumor components.
