Is it normal for a child to snore?

There are many causes of snoring in children, and whether it is normal or not needs to be analyzed on a case-by-case basis. If the snoring occurs only occasionally and disappears after changing the sleeping position, it is mainly caused by improper sleeping position of children, resulting in restricted airflow, which is generally normal. If the snoring occurs frequently, the child needs to be seen by the ENT department in a timely manner to identify the cause of the problem and get treatment. If the child has adenoidal hypertrophy, which compresses the airway by more than 2/3, it is an abnormal condition, and surgery should be considered to avoid affecting the normal growth and development of the child. In addition, tonsillar hypertrophy of more than 2 degrees, can also appear snoring symptoms, if it is more than 3 degrees, but also accompanied by obvious sleep breathing disorder, this also belongs to the abnormal situation, need to timely surgery. It is recommended to pay attention to the sleeping position of the child, avoid feeding the child too much food before going to bed, avoid spicy and stimulating diet, pay attention to keeping warm when going out in winter, and bring a mask when going out to prevent colds.
