Difference Between Gastritis Symptoms and Early Stomach Cancer

It is not easy to distinguish between gastritis symptoms and early gastric cancer symptoms, and there may be some differences in terms of the nature of pain pain duration and so on. Gastritis patients may have stomach pain, acid reflux, heartburn and other symptoms, and generally the pain occurs occasionally and the stomach pain is mild. Most of early gastric cancer patients are asymptomatic, some of them may have mild epigastric discomfort, indigestion, distension and fatigue after satiety, etc. Their symptoms are often easily confused with gastritis. With the gradual development of early gastric cancer, patients’ stomach pain symptoms gradually worsen and last for a longer period of time, which can be distinguished from gastritis symptoms. As the symptoms of early stomach cancer are not obvious, it is often difficult to diagnose stomach cancer at early stage, and most of the patients often find that it has already progressed to the advanced stage when they have obvious symptoms. When stomach discomfort occurs, patients should go to hospital for examination at an early stage to make a clear diagnosis.
