What is a chronic disease? Chronic disease is a general term for a group of diseases with insidious onset, long and persistent course, lack of precise evidence of infectious biological causes, and complex etiology, some of which have not been fully identified. Common chronic diseases include cardiovascular diseases, cancer, diabetes, and chronic respiratory diseases, including hypertension, stroke, and coronary heart disease. Chronic diseases usually occur in older people over 60 years old, but with the development of society and changes in lifestyle, some diseases that are more and more common in the elderly population are more and more common in young people, with young people aged 30-40 as the main group. So what are the reasons, and in what ways can we avoid these chronic diseases to happen to themselves? 1.Colorectal cancer: In the past decade, 40-50 years old was the main incidence group, but now the incidence rate is increasing year by year, and many young people are diagnosed with colorectal cancer at the age of 30 or so, with colon cancer being the majority. The reasons are mainly due to long-term excessive alcohol consumption, smoking, irregular life, excessive mental stress and low exercise at that age. Meanwhile, there is evidence that obesity is associated with the occurrence of colon cancer. It is recommended to change the lifestyle and perform routine physical examination, and colonoscopy can be performed every two years for 30-year-olds to detect polyps and remove them in time. 2.Lymphoma: past data show that the peak incidence age is 45-60 years old, but in recent years, the peak incidence age has shifted to 20-40 years old, and the average age of death is lower than 45 years old. The main reasons include the increased possibility of viral infection, environmental pollution and poor living habits of modern people. 3.Breast cancer: The incidence of breast cancer in China is increasing at the rate of 3% per year, and there is a significant youthfulness, and there are even female patients who have just become adults. Research shows that the increased incidence of this disease is related to the increase of estrogen in the environment and endocrine disorders caused by excessive mental stress. Therefore, it is recommended that female patients should undergo annual breast cancer screening, allocate their work and family time reasonably, and maintain a happy mood. 4.Cervical cancer: For female malignant tumors, the incidence of cervical cancer is second only to breast cancer, the incidence of the disease in the 1980s was around 55 years old, but now it is close to 40 years old. The causes include early sexual life, too many sexual partners and lack of attention to physical hygiene. Therefore, it is advocated that female patients should marry later and have fewer children, carry out early cervical cancer screening and detect cervical intraepithelial neoplasia at an early stage. 5. Stroke: Due to irregular diet, the number of young people with three highs is increasing, and people who suffer from three highs, heart disease, excessive alcohol consumption and smoking are potential stroke victims. Therefore, the emphasis on office work-based young people to increase exercise, healthy diet and reduce the appearance of overeating. Other diseases that are getting younger include fatty liver, diabetes and kidney disease, etc. I would like to remind you that in order to reduce the risk of these diseases, healthy living is fundamental and cannot be overemphasized. Start with “food”, less oil and salt, more vegetables and fruits, regular work and rest is the key; never use mobility tools if you can open your legs, and exercise for half an hour every day.
