Inactivated polio vaccine, or inactivated polio vaccine, is administered mainly by injection.
Generally, children aged 0 to 6 years need to receive a total of four doses of inactivated polio vaccine when they are routinely immunized, usually once at 2, 3, 4 and 18 months after birth. For adults who need to travel to polio-endemic areas and have already received inactivated vaccine, they can receive one dose before departure.
The precautions to be taken after receiving the inactivated polio vaccine are that you should not eat for half an hour after receiving the vaccine, and that you should be strictly observed for half an hour after receiving the vaccine before leaving. If there is a slight fever during the observation period, no special treatment is needed. However, if there are serious adverse reactions, such as high fever, localized pain, breathing difficulties, etc., prompt treatment is needed. You should not take a shower on the day of vaccination to avoid infection.
It is recommended to seek medical attention once symptoms appear after polio vaccination, so as not to delay the condition.
