Causes of dull skin around the mouth triangle

The causes of dull skin around the triangle of the mouth may be related to physiological factors such as friction, or to diseases such as melanosis and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
1. Physiological factors: If the skin around the triangle of the mouth is often rubbed in daily life, it may lead to localized skin darkening.
2. Pathologic factors:
(1) Melanosis: the etiology is still unclear and may be related to endocrine disorders, malnutrition and other factors. The patient will have gray-purple pigmentation spots, commonly found on the face.
(2) Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation: it may be related to environmental factors, disease factors and other reasons. Patients will have localized light brown and dark brown hyperpigmentation spots. If the skin around the triangle of the mouth has had an inflammatory reaction, it may lead to dull skin.
