Benign meatus tremor is known in medicine as benign myofascial tremor syndrome and acromegaly as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. The two can be distinguished by the characteristics of myofascial tremor, accompanying symptoms, test results, etc. The specific diagnosis must be completed by a doctor.
1. Characteristics of myofascial tremor: In benign myofascial tremor syndrome, myofascial tremor is mostly episodic, short-lived and mild; in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, myofascial tremor is mostly persistent and obvious.
2. Accompanying symptoms: benign myofibrillatory syndrome is usually not accompanied by other discomforts except involuntary muscle tremor; myofibrillatory tremor in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis is often accompanied by atrophy, muscle weakness and other symptoms.
3. Examination results: the electromyography and muscle biopsy of benign myofascial tremor syndrome usually do not show obvious pathological abnormalities; the electromyography of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis will show typical neurogenic damage, and the muscle biopsy will show pathologic atrophic changes.
However, it should be noted that because of the significant difference in the risk level and prognosis of the above two diseases, the specific diagnosis must be done by specialized doctors. Do not make blind judgments and dispose of them on your own to avoid adverse consequences.
