What is a cesarean delivery

Cesarean delivery is a method of removing the fetus from the abdomen and ending the delivery without going through the vagina. In most cases, women can deliver the fetus vaginally, but in some cases, due to abnormal pelvis, large fetus, intrauterine distress, placenta abruptio, weak uterine contractions and other critical situations that endanger the fetus and the mother, a cesarean delivery is performed to end the labor quickly. Cesarean delivery requires more tissues to be cut, which requires cutting the skin, subcutaneous tissue, anterior rectus abdominis sheath, rectus abdominis peritoneum, lower uterine plasma layer, lower uterine muscular layer, more bleeding and more damage to the mother. Therefore, if there is no fetal and maternal abnormality, caution should be taken to choose cesarean section to end the pregnancy.
