What are the symptoms and treatment of atrial fibrillation

Symptoms of atrial fibrillation include palpitations, dizziness, chest tightness and weakness. It is mainly treated by general treatment, medication and surgery.
1. Symptoms: Common symptoms of atrial fibrillation patients mainly include fatigue, dizziness, chest tightness, palpitation and so on. Some patients may have blackout, syncope, polyuria and so on. Patients with the presence of organic heart disease can induce angina pectoris or heart failure when the ventricular rate is fast.
2. Treatment
(1) General treatment: Oxygen should be given when the partial pressure of arterial oxygen is less than 60 mmHg. Patients with hemodynamic instability due to atrial fibrillation should undergo cardiac monitoring.
(2) Drug therapy: There are some differences between individuals, and the following drugs are recommended to be used under doctor’s supervision. Patients with atrial fibrillation have a higher chance of embolism, and it is recommended to use anticoagulant drugs, common drugs include warfarin and rivaroxaban. Atrial fibrillation can also use rhythm control drugs and ventricular rate control drugs, common drugs are amiodarone, propafenone, verapamil, digoxin and so on.
(3) Surgical treatment: Common surgical methods include cardiac radiofrequency ablation and surgical labyrinthine surgery.
When the above symptoms occur, it is recommended to consult the doctor in time and choose the appropriate way of treatment under the doctor’s guidance.
